How it started
After the fire.
In the summer of 2003, the Okanagan Mountain Park fire swept through this valley and destroyed hundreds of homes. Families lost more than houses. They lost the photos and home videos of their lives.
That stuck with me. In 2004 I started Pixel Pro Productions to document Okanagan homes, families and businesses properly, so the version people could return to would be honest, beautiful and true to how it felt.
22 years later, that's still the job.
What 22 years taught me
About real estate
Buyers decide before they book the showing. I've photographed and filmed 1,500+ Okanagan listings, and the ones that sell fastest look like a place to live, not a room inventory. Realtors usually get photos within 24–48 hours, because a listing sitting without them is money lost.
About weddings
Your day happens once. After more than 150+ weddings, I've learned that what couples rewatch is the audio: the vows, the speeches, a grandparent's laugh. So I record it cleanly and keep the film honest. My wife Heather is a wedding photographer here in the valley, and we love working weddings together when it's the right fit.
About business video
A corporate video only matters if it does something: more enquiries, better hires, faster training. We agree on that goal before anything gets filmed.
